This summer, more than 3,000 people throughout Pennsylvania will join the Pittsburgh Pirates and Harrisburg Senators for the Family Fun Run/Walks to benefit our friends and neighbors with epilepsy/seizure disorders. The run/walks have become a cornerstone of the EFWCP’s special events. EFWCP Board member Joyce Bender says, “It is so inspiring to see large companies, families and individuals come out to support such a wonderful cause.”
Professional baseball players, team mascots, and local radio and television personalities are on hand to lead the day's festivities. It all begins with a 5k run/2 mile walk course that winds through the beautiful cities. Participants may then move onto a one-of-a-kind tailgate party, where they can enjoy food and beverages from local sponsors. Prizes are awarded to the teams and individuals that raise the most money. All participants are eligible for a free ticket to a baseball game, a commemorative t-shirt, and other fabulous items.
